Dextran 70:
Molecular
weight of 70,000 (like Albumin). All the same advantages and disadvantages of its little
sister, but more so… And although
it has the same molecular weight as Albumin, its much larger size results in a
stronger effect. Potent stuff!
Expect a volume expansion of around 100%.
Can continue to increase plasma volume for up to 24 hours.
