The sixth season DVD of Stargate SG –1 is here and it follows up the success of the previous sets. The set is packaged in an attractive collectors box and contains all 22 episodes of the sixth season uncut. The show follows the exploits of a team of soldiers who travel through an alien teleportation device known as the Stargate. Each week the group visits worlds and battles enemies from all corners of the universe as they strive to protect Earth from invasion. Highlights of the season include the episodes “Descent”, “The Other Guys” “Unnatural Selection”, “Forsaken”.

While the season finale “Full Circle” lacks the impact of the previous two season finales, it is still solid entertainment, and will delight fans both old and new. The only real issue I had with the season was that there were a few clip episodes where the majority of the story is told in flashback offering little new material. That being said, the transfer to DVD is solid. The sound quality is first rate. While the episodes are the main draw of the set, the attractive menus and behind the scenes features ensure that this is a volume that like the others, is a must have for all fans.
