I saw 2001: A Space Odyssey many years ago. Other than the apes hitting things scenes, I didn't get it. I'm not sure anyone ever did. Oh, they all acted like they understood the thing. But I think it was one of those "the emperor has no clothes" things. No one would admit that the movie baffled them.
But that is okay. It was art. And you aren't really ever supposed to get art. If you do, it isn't art.
At least that's the way I look at it.

I have to admit that I like Kubrick films. However, I also have to admit that they often don't make a hell of a lot of sense. But they sure are pretty.
So you are saying Kubrick films are like Pamela Anderson?
Such a gift for simile, I wonder if that comes with being simian?
