Early Morning Dune Curve

Photographed in the Sand Dunes Northeast of Stovepipe Wells, Death Valley National Monument, California

Early January
Nikkor 24 mm lens

The sand dunes are covered with footprints near the road, but a half mile in is often pristine - especially after a windy night. The light stays low enough for good dune patterns and shadows for about an hour after dawn.
