A good neighborhood, good schools, and friendly people.
A wide assortment of photo's below. The aircraft you see are being vectored to intercept the Localizer for the Runway 16 Approach at Sea-Tac. Depending upon traffic, they often begin their vectors to base leg from the West over Queen Anne Hill. If you decide to visit, bring your camera. The park atop Queen Anne Hill is an excellent place to take photo's of both downtown Seattle and Puget Sound. It's located right at the top of the Counterbalance (that's the really steep hill that leads from lower Queen Anne to upper Queen Anne.) When you get to the top of the hill, go a block or two, then make a left hand turn. Go over about two - three blocks, and make another left. Straight ahead is the viewpoint.
Some miscellaneous comments: (1): rents are high; (2): if we have snow in the winter, it can be hard to get home if you live atop Queen Anne (they usually close the Counterbalance.)
One note about the driving up the Counterbalance. It's not a good idea to make an immediate left turn atop the hill if you're leading a "parade" of cars. Also, watch out for pedestrians (I've had some close calls climbing the hill!!)
