Lower Queen Anne Hill borders the Seattle Center. Lots of shops & development. I've included Lake Union since it's relatively close. (Those float planes you see from the North End of Upper Queen Anne Hill are probably headed to/from Lake Union.) From the South, the Counterbalance seperates Upper & Lower Queen Anne. Regardless of which avenue you approach, plan on climbing some hills to get from lower to upper.
The floatplane pictures were taken from the South end of Lake Union. For those interested, there is scheduled air service available to numerous destinations from Lake Union. Additionally, flight training is available.
