What is SNOPAC?SNOPAC is a 911 Dispatch Center located in Snohomish County. Our core mission is to take calls for emergency police, fire and medical services; to inform the needed resource agencies; and to track and manage the information flow and resources in assistance to the agencies performing duties at the scene of the emergency.
During 2007 SNOPAC processed in excess of 646,188 calls for service in the form of calls to 9-1-1 or seven digit emergency numbers, or reports initiated by employees of the member agencies. This makes SNOPAC one of the busiest communication centers in the State of Washington. Our Organization
SNOPAC is a separate agency operating by inter-local agreement between the member agencies. It is funded from E911 (enhanced 911) dollars collected as a tax on telephone services, and from fees paid by the member agencies. A Board of Directors, made up largely of member agency leaders, governs SNOPAC. There is also a member-at-large selected directly from the community. The Board receives input and recommendations from its’ two Technical Advisory Committees, one each for police and fire/aid. Every member agency is invited to participate on one of these committees. Our Member AgenciesSNOPAC now dispatches for 24 fire and aid agencies and 12 police jurisdictions.
