Orion Ballroom—Kirkland

O_medallion.jpg (4053 bytes)At 2,400 square feet, Orion Ballroom claims to be the largest dance floor on the Eastside.  The studio/ballroom has "five conversation areas: Lounge, Cafe, Terrace, Rendezvous and Veranda, all separated from the dance floor, so you can talk with people you have met or brought to Orion," says Susie Narvaez, Studio Director.

The ballroom offers public dances four nights a week, Thursday-Sunday. They are located in Kirkland's downtown area, "with lots of nearby restaurants and entertainment, so make a night of it."

Susie adds, "our custom-designed dance floor is eye-catching and easy on your feet.  The walnut, maple and white-oak hardwood design conceals a state-of-the-art floor which is both floating and suspended!  Of course you may feel just as tired, if this new floor makes you want to dance twice as long!  The eight-foot mirrors add to the ambiance."

For more information you can email Susie at susie@orionballroom.com or visit Orion's Web site at http://www.orionballroom.com.

Classes are taught at the facility, located at 100 Third Ave. SE in Pacific, on Tuesday evenings. Community dances are held the second Friday of each month.

Directions: From the Valley Freeeway (State Route 167), take the Algona-Pacific exit. Drive East (on Ellingson Road) to second traffic light; Alpac Elementary School is on the Southeast Corner.
