Blue Moon Howlers
The Blue Moon Howlers describe themselves as conveying "classic swing tunes in an authentic style" that "gets the crowd involved on our 'howling' theme song.... This is a 6-piece Band plus vocalist that plays Hot Swing, every Tuesday night from 9:00 to 11:00 p.m. at the China Harbor on Westlake Avenue, on Lake Union. There's a large wood dance floor, and at last report, cover was only $5. There usually are dance lessons available at 8:00 p.m. DJ with swing music between sets and until midnight. Free parking. George and Victoria Bornkamp report: "Reminiscing is a "duo" with a "mini-big band-sound". We are a mixture of vocals, trumpet, flugel horn, keyboard, and clarinet sounds and our music is a combination of jazz, swing, standards and blues along with some creative rock-n-roll and country sounds. We proudly represent an era when Swing and Jazz from the 1930's and 1940's was historically popular.
