St. Michael's is a warm and friendly congregation growing four generations strong, here in the heart of Issaquah. We celebrate our faith in significant and fun-loving ways, always aiming to bring that faith to life in our own lives and the world all around us. Thanks for visiting us today - we look forward to getting to know you! At 8:00 we celebrate a traditional (“Rite One”) spoken Eucharist, phrased in inspired Elizabethan prose. Our prayers resonate with those of forebears across the English Church throughout the centuries, acknowledging humanity's sinfulness and God's graciousness. A sermon brings the truths of each Sunday’s scripture home to our daily lives, and coffee and conversation follow. At 10:30 we celebrate a contemporary (“Rite Two”) choral Eucharist, with all prayers reprinted in an easy-to-follow leaflet. A four-part choir and pipe organ lead the singing, and an array of Seasons and Celebrations enliven the year. A sermon brings the truths of each Sunday’s scripture home to our daily lives, and then waves of energetic children and youth join the congregation as their Sunday School ends mid-service. Following Communion, everyone enjoys coffee and conversation together. |
