Entries: Pre-Entries must be postmarked between July 25, 2007 & August 10, 2007.  ALL STOCKDOG ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED IN POSTMARK ORDER except that entries received more than 10 days after the postmark date will be accepted by receipt date.  Day of entries added on must pay day of entry fees.  No refunds will be made if the show/trial cannot open due to riots, civil disturbances, acts of God, public emergencies or other events beyond the control of the ASCofWA.  Entries must be on an official ASCA form with the agreement signed on the back.  Information must be complete, legible and indicate the date of show(s).  Please use separate entry forms for Stockdog trial, obedience, & conformation/juniors.  No mail will be accepted without waiver of signature and will be returned if this is not done.  Entry fees may be refunded if an owner presents show committee with a letter from a veterinarian stating the entry should not participate due to health reasons.  Refunds must be requested prior to start of the show.  $20.00 fee for any returned checks.  Send all pre-entries to: Michelle Berryessa, PO Box 519, Roy, WA  98580.

RUNS:             40 runs sheep/day, 40 runs ducks/day

NUMBER OF STOCK /RUN: ducks 5/run; sheep 5/run

 

POLICIES:  An official waiting list will be maintained.  A draw for run order will be made prior to the trial.  If an owner pulls an entry, and that space can be filled from the waiting list, a refund shall be made.  Substitution of a dog owned or co-owned by the same owner is allowed.  Bitches in season shall run last on each day.  Bitches in heat will be contained away from trial arena and exercised in designated area.  Other breeds wishing to compete for ASCA titles must have an ASCA tracking number.  This number can be applied for day of trial.

Junior Classes: NonReg-PeeWee(3-5 years old), Sub-Junior (6-7 years old);

                Regular: Novice & Open, to be divided by ages: 8-12 years & 13-17 years

NOTE: Juniors may compete with any breed; however for ASCA points in the merit programs, the dog must be an Australian Shepherd and must meet ASCA Junior ownership requirements (rule book available at www.asca.org)

Conformation Classes (to be divided by sex):

                Non-Regular: 2-4 month, 4-6 month

                Altered & Intact: 6-9 mth, 9-12 mth, 12-18 mth, Novice, American Bred, Bred by Exhibitor,

                Open Blue Merle, Open Red Merle, Open Black, Open Red, Best of Breed.

NOTE: ALL Australian Shepherds MUST have an individual ASCA registration number to compete, except non-regular puppies, who MUST BE ELIGIBLE for ASCA registration.

Obedience classes:

Utility A & B, Open A & B, Novice A & B, Graduate Novice, Sub-Novice.  Group exercises will be held following each class, Open A & B and Novice A & B group exercises may be combined.

NOTE: Only regular classes are eligible for High Score Awards.  Bitches in season will not be allowed to compete in obedience, with the exception of bitches entered in Most Versatile Aussie.  These bitches will compete either in a different ring or at the end of the rest of the obedience classes.  Upon verification of being in heat by a veterinarian or the Obedience Committee, the entry fee will be refunded if wished.  All breeds may compete, however, they are required to have an ASCA Tracking Number.  This number may be applied for at the show.  Owners/Handlers entering Novice who have titled a dog in any registry in Novice must enter Novice B.  Any dog entering Novice or Open who has earned a CD or CDX in any registry must enter Novice B or Open B, as appropriate.

 

AWARDS:  Rosettes and/or special awards will be awarded above class wins.

 

Most Versatile Australian Shepherd:  This award is given to the Australian Shepherd who earns the most points in events Saturday or Sunday by: Obtaining 70% of the available points in the conformation evaluation class, attaining a qualifying score in regular obedience, and a qualifying score in a Started, Open or Advanced Stockdog trial class.  If no dog qualifies, no award will be given.  The rules are contained in the ASC of Washington ROM rules.

Most Versatile Junior:  This award is given to the Junior who has earned the most points in events Saturday or Sunday by: Showmanship class placements, attaining a qualifying score in regular obedience, and a qualifying score in a Started, Open or Advanced Stockdog trail class.  If no Junior qualifies, no award will be given.

From I-5:  take SO 38st /EXIT 132 toward WA-16/Gig Harbor-Bremerton.  Merge onto WA-16.  Take WA-302 W Exit to go onto/toward Purdy Dr NW/Key Center.  Turn left onto WA-302/Gig Harbor-Longbranch Hwy.  Continue to follow Gig Harbor-Longbranch Hwy(5.2 m).  Stay Straight to go onto Key Peninsula Hwy KP N (11.8 m).  Turn Left onto 40th St KP S.  Turn Left onto Reeves Rd KP S.

Joemma State Park and Penrose Point State Park are also nearby. 

 

NOTE: Key Peninsula Hwy has numbered streets that go to zero where KPNorth turns into KPSouth.  Note the North or the South when checking street numbers.

There will be limited number of camping spaces on site available for $10/night. Campers MUST MAKE PAYMENTS to Sue MacDonald the first day.  No set ups prior to 3:00PM on Friday night.  There is no electrical and no water.  Generators will be allowed in parking areas away from trial and show arenas/rings during the hours of 7:30AM and 10:00PM.  No blowers near the rings/arenas.  All dogs must be kept on lead except during competition.  Exhibitors are required to clean up after their own dogs (this includes grooming areas, etc).  Exhibitors are responsible for their children.  No sale or dogs or puppies on show grounds.
