Navigate
the School Maze!
Let
Educational and Family Resources help you with Educational
Planning.
Note
to Parents: If you are raising children aged 2 - 12, moving,
or just a conscientious mom or dad, you are thinking about how great
is your responsibility with regard to your children's schooling.
Educational and Family Resources can help you make important decisions
about relocation, school readiness, matching children's learning
styles to educational programs, and how to help kids be successful
in school. Our Counselor works with families whose children have
both average and exceptional needs and collaborates to find the
best school matches available.
Carol
Robins began this counseling/consultation service in 1987. Her offices
are in Seattle and Bellevue Washington, although much relocation
counseling is done by phone and online. She has a Masters Degree
in Applied Behavioral Sciences and 30 years of experience
as a teacher, children's programs coordinator and community college
parent education instructor. In her work with families, Ms. Robins
considers family needs and child development issues as she collaborates
with parents, schools and professionals to make decisions to benefit
individual children.

Philosophy
The
new millennium challenges us to new awareness about learning and
leadership. Where and with whom our children learn are vital to
their healthy development. What we now know and are still discovering
about genetic and environmental influences, multiple intelligences,
brain functioning, and systemic dynamics has enormous influence
on how we adults make decisions that affect children's lives. Parents
must objectively assess the skills their children bring to a learning
environment, in addition to evaluating educational environments.
Families, educators, administrators and other professionals working
together results in sucessful growth and achievement for both children
and adults.
Mission
To
offer objectivity , information, and reassurance to parents in collaboration
with parents, professionals, schools and communities, helping each
to discover and understand the other in the best interest of children.
