Lester Henry Gardner Sr., born
December 17, 1921, went to be with the Lord on November 28, 1998.
Lester was born in Selma, Alabama and made his home in Spanaway
after retiring from the United States Air Force. Les, as he was
known to family and friends served his country proudly during
World War II and the Korean War. After retiring from the U.S.A.F.
Les owned the Spanaway Exchange Tavern, where he delighted in
sharing his culinary talents and his gift of gab with the
patrons. Les was a member of the Lakewood Moose Lodge and was
active for many years. Les was preceded in death by his only son,
Lester H. Gardner Jr. Survivors include his loving wife of
53 years, Ruby; daughters, Jo Ann Gardner Eaton Hill, Glenda
Gardner and Ruth Gardner of Spanaway; grandchildren, Richard
Gardner, Ryan Lee Eaton, Leslie Gardner, Eric Gardner;
great-grandchildren, Sarah and Adam Gardner. The family wishes to
express their gratitude and love to our wonderful neighbors,
Andy, Shelly and Megan Sleighter, Bill and Marie Goritzka and Joe
and Nancy Symmons. Funeral Services at Fir Lane Memorial Chapel,
11:00 A.M. Thurs. Viewing Wed. 12:00 Noon until 7:00 P.M.
Interment Fir Lane Memorial Park

12/17/21 11/28/98 Les Gardner Sr. Husband, Father, Grandfather
and most of all Friend. It seems like just yesterday that you
went to be with Les Jr. But it has been a year. A long hard year.
However, the thought of where you are and who you are with does
help us. We do miss and love you more than words can say. God's
speed "Ol buddy". From: Ruby, Joann, Glenda, Rick,
Deanne, Leslie, Eric, Ruth, Ron, Ryan, Adam and Sarah.
