The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is made up of local groups of men and women who actively seek to act upon the universal call of Jesus Christ to serve the poor. The society was founded by Frederick Ozanam in Paris France in 1833. Since then it has grown to include conferences in countries all over the world.
"I solemnly assure you, the one who has faith in me will do the works I do, and far greater than these."
- John 14:12
No work of charity is foreign to the Vincentian. The
Vincentian's ministry, through person-to-person contact encompasses every form of aid that
alleviates suffering and promotes the dignity and integrity of mankind. Within the means
available to the conference, the Vincentian serves everyone, regardless of creed, opinion,
color or origin.
