My main hobby is Ocean Kayaking, which I have been doing since 1987. Since moving to the Pacific Northwest (Seattle area) I have dedicated some of my energy to becoming certified by the American Canoe Association to teach Coastal kayaking. I now help a great crew of instructors teach a Basic Coastal Kayaking class for a couple of clubs in the area, and I help Rob Cookson teach Advanced Sea Kayaking for Pacific Water Sports. I have paddled all over the Puget Sound area, through the Canadian Gulf islands, on the north and west coasts of Vancouver Island, in Belize, and across the Bering Sea.
