Equipment Suppliers:

Most of my equipment can be purchased through Air Duct Equipment Suppliers listed at the National Air Duct Cleaners web site: nadca.com

My favorite equipment and suppliers are:

Compressor: Ingersol Rand T-30, 12 hp. gasoline, 175 psi. $1,700.00 at Northern Tool & Equip. 1-800-556-7885
Air Snakes: (Everyone else in the industry calls these "reverse air nozzles") Harold's Power-Vac: Phone: 509-529-2088 or Fax: 509-529-4381

Heat Seal Equipment makes a great spinning nozzle that goes around near impossible corners.
Brushes: (Pellet stove brushes work good - can "roto-spin" on a cordless drill if done carefully.)

Pro-Spin Dryer Vent Kits - RMR Products: 1-800-366-8677
Blowers / Vacuums: I used to only use a $400 Cadillac brand blower (# 2Z090), from Grainger (www.grainger.com), but found an inexpensive electric leaf blower ($60) works "good enough". (The $400 blower blows much harder, but less air. The leaf blower blows more air, but less force, or pressure. Bird nests or wet lint need a lot of pressure.) Use a Fenco rubber plumbing fitting to adapt the port to fit into a 4 inch vent.
Vacuum: The Cadillac blower has attachments to convert it into a vacuum. Use 4 inch hoses. I use a small version of this vacuum (www.thinkvacuum.com) to clean vents up to 8 inches in diameter.

I use a 10 hp. gasoline powered leaf blower (adapted to vacuum) to clean larger vents. Much like this: (A leaf blower is about half the cost of an equivalent duct vacuum.)
