A.A. Bailey

Treatise On White Magic or the way of the disciple

She defines the first fundamental postulate of monism,

"This great life is the basis of Monism, and all enlightened men are Monists. 'God is one' is the utterance of truth."

Bailey is a monist, in contrast to others who are dualists or some form of polyist, or myself, an indeterminist or a Shaminist perhaps, minus the medical mission and shape shifting. Monism is yin. Bailey bears a pair of yin glasses perceives everything with them. Such perception diverts to the right from the central principle of eternal energy, or indeterminism, as polyisms or yang diverts to the left.

Bailey would have made a good theoretical scientist because physics is monistic, given the gravitational equation where the distance between any two masses is greater than zero and less than infinity, implying that everything physical is of a universal entity within which everything is connected.

An exclusive view of the cosmos, right or left, yin or yang, always leads to the separation of mind and body, which opposes any notion of 'all is alive' that Bailey offers in 'The Consciousness of the Atom,' in that mind'body separations are nigh onto animate'inanimate separations. Separation of mind and matter or body becomes real when it is self'imposed with a personal evolutionary agenda, which itself, is righteous for the initiate knowing instinctively what he'she needs.

The darkside of monism is fascism, as compared to the darkside of polyism, which is anarchy. A disciple of monism is on a path that ultimately becomes profoundly mired in hierarchical controls of its fundamental absolutes. Polyism and monism establishes non'plus'ultra absolutes as the basis for all, and the initiate finds themselves either frozen by yin structure or scattered within a grey purgatory, endless division of yang oblivion.

My first principle is "One shall not be captured into slavery or scattered into oblivion by anything." Such a principle requires one to bear the weight of one's existence in eternity, and stand as an individual, however much one is socially associated in this vast and eternal cosmos. The ability to live with the impact of uncertainty, insofar that it does not kill, and the impermanence of perpetual change, insofar that it does not bore, is essential in order to resonate with the perpetual energy of eternity.

All mysticism, by mandate of its non'plus'ultra agenda, transposed one from indeterminism to exclusive views of yin or yang, assigning absolute authority to one or the other; however much mysticism may allude to an infinite universe and its eternal energy, it is profoundly disabled from resonating with it.

Consciousness of the Atom

Viewing matter, the atoms, as one state of consciousness or another is breaking light, but framing the aggregate of these states of consciousness as one, as a monistic system, a right'brain view, distracts from understanding the fundamental nature of consciousness, its mutually exclusive dichotomous form, and the eternity it manifests.
