Isn't it amazing how one person's arrival can change an entire life?
For Tom Pappas, it was the arrival of two people. In particular, it was two blonde-haired beauties, both with a dizzying smile, that shook up Pappas' world and changed his perspective on everything. But let's not get ahead of ourselves.
The background to this story is familiar enough. In 2004, the University of Tennessee graduate went to the Athens Olympics the favored great-grandson of a Greek immigrant who was supposed to win the gold medal in the decathlon.
