Spokane standouts ink letters of intent with Weber State University Softball

Heather Jackson and Ashley Fargher recently signed national letters of intent to play NCAA Division One softball for Weber State University under head coach Tina Johnson.

Weber State reinstated its softball program in December 2007 and will begin play in 2010. The Wildcats sponsored softball from 1974‑1983. Weber State hired Johnson, who was the head coach at Colorado College, on July 30 to lead the program's rebirth.

Jackson was a first team shortstop on  the Eastern Region’s all star team. Fargher, also on the first team as a catcher,  was the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Diamond Sport’s Catcher of the Year Award Winner for the NWAACC and a NFCA First Team All-American.
