Vancouver, WA -- In an effort to support beast cancer and breast cancer awareness several NWAACC volleyball programs have or are preparing to put on events to raise money for cancer research. Upcoming events:

Spokane & Walla Walla at Spokane October 28th
"Dig Pink Night" - This is the second annual event hosted by the volleyball team and the Community Colleges of Spokane Athletic Department.  In addition to showing support by wearing pink to the event, people who wear pink get into the games for free. 

There will be a donations bank at the front gate and for your donation you will receive a pink ribbon to write your name on and place in the gym.  There will be contests and prize giveaways at the event as well.  The game will also be broadcast locally on SWX Television, the “Right Now” KHQ sports and weather station.  http://www.swxrightnow.com/Global/category.asp?C=155145&nav=menu1641_1

Clackamas & Chemeketa at Clackamas October 28th
Next Wednesday evening, October 28th, the Clackamas Cougars and Chemeketa Storm will be supporting Breast Cancer Awareness by playing their league match decked out in pink uniforms.

All event proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society. Fans are encouraged to join in by wearing pink and can make donations at the gate.

The Cougars will also be honoring their 2009 sponsors in what should prove to be a big event and match for both clubs.

Treasure Valley, Columbia Basin & Wenatchee Valley at Treasure Valley October 28 & 29th
Next Wednesday and Thursday's volleyball games will be played in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness. All teams will be wearing pink T-shirts in honor of the occasion and these shirts will be raffled off with all proceeds being donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation as well as the gate and concession receipts. This is a great cause and one we can all join in the fight against and helping to find a cure.
