Message from Clif  Wegner

OREGON CITY, OR - Thanks again to all the NWAACC basketball coaches who participated in last January's Coaches vs. Cancer national event. 100% of the men's coaches and many of the women's coaches dressed in solidarity for cancer awareness.

Money was also collected and donated by several NWAACC schools, so a special thanks goes to Skagit Valley, Pierce, Bellevue, Mt. Hood, and Clackamas colleges. Checks totaling $1320 was recently sent to the American Cancer Society.

Additionally, Skagit Valley raised an extra $300 for the memorial scholarship (cancer victim) Jim Worden, former NWAACC basketball coach.

Next year's Coaches vs. Cancer national event is scheduled for February 12-14, 2009.
