Dear Dick:

Thanks again for keeping me posted on the progress of my order. I’ve heard that the recent labor strikes in Germany were resolved without much incident, so I’m hoping that Porsche will still be able to meet their goal of a 2/26 manufacturing completion date for my car.

Otherwise, I’m afraid my girlfriend will leave me. I don’t talk about anything else besides my car and I can’t imagine her having the patience to let it go on much more than a few more weeks.

I also wanted to drop you a quick note to let you know that I’ll want to register my car upon its arrival with some plates that I already have. I’ve finally managed to sell my Mazda RX-7, and it had personalized plates. According to the folks at Bel-Red Licensing, I can keep the plates and bolt them onto the car when they arrive. (I’ve attached their email for your reference.)

My understanding is that I’ll need to complete some paperwork to assign the plates to the new car, and that I can keep the existing tabs. I counting on you to work with me at the time of delivery to make sure everything is handled smoothly.
