Update for Tuesday, January 24

This past weekend brought two huge milestones for Katie - not only did she finally get the hang of crawling with her belly up off the floor, but she managed to pull herself to a standing position against the sofa! Now that she's realized the power of crawling - she's no longer content to stay in the living room to play - she wants to go explore the house! Needless to say, we spent the weekend cleaning and baby-proofing the house.

The instant I walked into Katie's room this morning, I knew I would have to post to the blog. Just look at what I found ...

We're so proud!

Update for Tuesday, January 17

Just a quick little post to tell you that Miss Katie is sprouting two new upper teeth! That brings the chopper grand total to four. She doesn't really have anything to do with these new teeth - she still needs her food to be pretty smooth. We've had two projectile vomiting episodes when we tried to give her tiny bits of real food - pretty impressive, but still yucky.

Katie's health continues to be good. We're right in the middle of RSV (respiratory syncytial virus) season, which is particularly dangerous to preemies. This winter (and most likely next winter) Katie receives a shot each month to protect her from RSV. During this time, Katie is also on house arrest - we don't take her into public places and we keep her away from people who are sick. It's not too bad of a deal - there's lots of activity in the house with the dogs to keep her occupied.

Nothing else new to report - we'll type more soon. Here's a cute picture from last week, Katie with a shampoo mohawk!
