Update for Friday, September 15

Since I've been working on this post for almost an entire month (okay, I've been super busy), let's start the post with the most recent photo of Katie. She spend a few days at her Grandma's while her Mama was on a business trip. Grandma sent this photo to show what a fun time Katie has at Grandma's house!

Okay, so I know that the month of September is over and I realize that I haven't made a post since early July! We've got a lot of news to cover, so let's proceed.

At our last visit to the developmental therapists at Swedish Hospital, who continue to monitor the physical and mental development of Katie, they gave her a deadline of August 15 to begin walking unassisted. Well, our girl finally 'let go' around August 1. She spent three days teetering around carefully, and then she took off running! We haven't caught up with her yet!

Here she is in a fabulously mis-matched outfit (who says print and plaid don't go together?!) 'eating' a 'bapple':

Katherine Grace also went to her first wedding in August - her Uncle Matt married her Auntie Liz and everything is official now! Among the many children at the wedding, Miss Katie handled herself well, and looked like an angel! Here she is with her Grandma:

Here's a photo of Katie, her Mama and her newly married Uncle Matt:

There was a day-after party the next afternoon where Miss Katie found a new use for the drink bucket - it's an outdoor bathtub complete with bathtoys and a cousin companion!

Shortly thereafter, Katie's Grandpa came down for a week of spoiling his granddaughter. They could often be found cuddling with their favorite doggie while reading books:

Katie's Grandpa was also very generous with his cereal every morning - there's never a moment of peace when you've got big-people food!

That's all I have for now. A bit of a short post, but once I have some new photos, I'll try to be more timely!

Wow, it seems like she is getting so big!

That is great news that she is walking on her own now, way to go Katie.
