SEATTLE METROPOLITAN CREDIT UNION
Seattle, Washington.

 

Network Administrator - Responsible for company data and phone network infrastructure for 125+ users in 7 locations, Credit Union core online transaction processing system, 1st Mortgage Origination and Servicing system and Internet web server hosting a loan application.

  • Network architecture included HP & Cisco 10/100/1000 switches connected by frame relay using Cisco 3620 & 1721 routers.  WatchGuard Firewalls were configured for secure staff internet access, incoming Internet email with only desired file attachments and VPN Access.  The phone system consisted of Qwest Centrex Service from the central office or extended to branch locations with Adtran & Pulsecom D4 channel banks over dedicated T1 lines.  Three new branches were added to the network in the last 2 years.
  • The Credit Union core online transaction processing system ran on a Compaq DL760 server with quad Xeon processors and 230 gigabyte of disk storage using Microsoft Windows 2000 Enterprise Server with a SQL Server 2000 Enterprise database backend.  The core system software (Cube) by IntegraSys a subdivision of Fiserv had semi-annual upgrades with bi-monthly revisions.  Supporting the core system were Home Banking, Credit Bureau, ATM, Shared Branching and Audio Response gateways.  The core system was transferred from a Compaq 7000 to the DL760 in 2002 with less than 4 hours of downtime.  Unscheduled system downtime was minimal.  Software and system updates were applied and tested on a secondary server prior to being installed in production.
  • The 1st Mortgage Origination and Servicing system from FICS used Microsoft SQL 2000 Server for the backend and had periodic software updates. Software and system updates were applied and tested on a secondary server prior to being installed in production.
  • Provided backup support for (20) NT/W2K/WS03 Servers providing Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5 email, file and print services, ARCserve 2000 Backup services, Norton Antivirus protection, Legato optical storage/retrieval system and various other server applications.  Also provided support for (120) Microsoft Windows 2000 Workstations & Laptops, Office 2000, Outlook 2000, Internet Explorer and various client software programs.

Accounting Department Assistant Manager - Responsible for preparation of end of month adjusting entries, financial statements and management reports for the credit union. Responsible for Novell 3.12 Server and 20 networked PCs.

  • Maintain & update Asset-Liability Model used for projected financials, what-if scenarios and budget planning.
  • Assist in development of credit union annual budget.
