Hopewell Apartments creates the notion of a large house by responding to the existing residential neighborhood. Fronting Cheltenham, 12 units have been designed on two levels within an extremely irregular site featuring challenging slopes. Adjacent to the hospice Hopewell House, these apartments provide much-needed housing for persons disabled by mental illness or who may have been diagnosed with HIV. The design will allow residents who are currently being treated to live independently in the neighborhood again.
