 Obscure PS 2

Obscure PS 2 by Gareth Von Kallenbach

Dreamcatcher Interactive's Obscure is a novel take on the High School slasher genre. Over the years games ranging from Phantasmagoria to Alone in the Dark have captured the horror genre, but have not provided the degree of interaction that fans of the genre have craved.

The game is set in an old-school high school and the characters are comprised of various classes such as jock, geek, and rich snob, each with their own abilities and weaknesses such as lock picking. Players can switch between characters for various situations to get the best results.

A good soundtrack by Sum 41 and Span add to the fun, but for certain players many will fin the game to be a simple explore the dark maze game, with and abundance of locked doors and monsters abounding.

That being said, Obscure does feature some nice chills and the decent graphics and along with the good price on the game, should more then entertain gamers who want a simple distraction.
