Boo is almost 14 years old. She is without doubt the sweetest, most laid-back Dachshund I have ever known. You can take Boo anywhere; she is always a good girl. She is an unusually quiet dachsie - not barky at all. Boo is very shy, and always looks a little worried. She likes to have “her people” within sight at all times. I have known Boo from the day my mother brought her home as a 6 week-old puppy. Mother didn’t particularly like Boo’s markings, but she was so sweet Mama had to bring her home. I have had Miss Boo for almost 6 years now, she’s becoming old and frail, and has a few medical problems—but still has her spry moments. She is curled up on my lap as I write this!

MAJOR EVENTS in Boo’s life include: being adopted as a puppy by Anne in 1986, back surgery at age 4, coming to live with Debbie at age 8, and being diagnosed with Cushing’s disease at age 11 (which became Addison’s disease when she over-responded to her Cushings medication).

FAVORITE THINGS include: being near Debbie and Bunky, anything edible, finding laundry still warm from the dryer or a patch of sunlight to sleep in, or (in the winter) heater vents, burrowing in her blankets, sleeping in the “people bed”.

BOO HATES: when Debbie leaves the house, thunder, fireworks, being cold, the vacuum cleaner, watching Bunky get attention.
