Welcome to Carol and Ed's home page. Its purpose is pure serendipity and whimsy. If you subscribe to either, you're qualified to continue. Carol and Ed live and work in Duvall, WA along with their beloved pussy cat, Simba and the cutest puppy in the whole world, Hyak. They have a vacation home 40 feet up a tree about 10 miles away near 'Earthquake Central', which they adjourn to periodically for R&R. They met out in the middle of nowhere -- on an island in Ross Lake up in the North Cascades--11 years ago next August during the Perseid Meteor Shower.

This treehouse was build about 5 years ago by Ed and his friend, Randy Geiger, in their spare time over an entire winter. It has received lots of publicity. We were in the Journal American, PI, Seattle Times, NW Cable News, Smithsonian Magazine (Aug '97 edition), Paul Harvey's radio commentary, Stern Magazine (German). Also, the Jason Project used our site to film scientific coverage on rain forest tree canopies. Most recently, a film crew came up from LA to shoot "Treehouses with Kitty Bartholemew" which was broadcast on HGTV in April '99.
