February

DATE/TIME: 15Feb08 evening
EVENT: Gung
Haggis Fat Choy
{annual}
LOCATION: Ocean
City Restaurant in Seattle's International District
COST: $35/person?
(whatever it is, it's worth every cent)
STATUS: Confirmed

Haggis Fat Choy--
the cross-cultural Chinese New Years and Robert Burns Supper
celebration, as invented by Toddish McWong of Vancouver BC and brought
to Seattle for its 3rd year. I performed as a part of this the
last 2 years, and I'm
very glad
to be attending and performing again this year. For me tho
this year, as every year so far, I'm going to be doing something
new -- not entirely sure what this looks like this year, but I
hope to have my new Nae Regrets drummer joining. Let me know if
you want to attend and I can get you
the
details on how to get tickets for this incredibly fun

DATE/TIME:

EVENT: The Seattle St. Patrick's
Parade
{annual}
LOCATION: Downtown Seattle on 4th
& possibly at The
Seattle Center
COST: FREE
STATUS: Unconfirmed
DETAILS: My band John
Cunningham Memorial Tartan (Alumni?) Pipes & Drums
has wanted to play this parade for years, but so far has had
too
many conflicts and has had to look to playing the
parade the
following year.
If JCMT P&D plays the parade this year, we might also
set up some pub shows
before/after the parade in the area. Though this performance is yet
to be confirmed, contact me ASAP if you'd like to
hire
some Highland bagpipers and drummers.
...Oh, and if you're wondering why this parade is often on
a Saturday instead the 17th...
A few years back a decision was made to start holding the parade in
Seattle not on St. Pat's Day but on the Saturday before -- this allows
more people to participate in and view the parade and get equally wet
and/or cold together -- personally, I think its a good improvement.

style
jams with their drummer, Mitch -- each time they've gone well, and I've
been told by Ryan that their audiences like it. I've been asked

worked out to make sure it happens.
