Here are the places I know of to ride in Washington. I will provide directions and try to keep up with conditions and whether or not these places are open. I will also rate them by the year scale, i.e. the number of years to add to your current age to describe your pain the day after riding a given location. All directions are from Tacoma!!!

SPOT:Elbe Hills ORV Park

NEAREST TOWN:Elbe or Ashford

DIRECTIONS:From Tacoma, take hiway 7 south to Elbe. Follow 706 east towards Mt. Rainier 6 miles. Look for sign. Turn left and follow road until it turns into gravel. Stay on road and take 2nd left (about 2 miles). Park at campgrounds on left or find your own spot.

TERRAIN:Lots of hills and tree roots. Reeeal bumpy, and technical.

ORV's:3&4 Wheelers, M/Cs, Jeeps & 4WDs

ALL IN ALL:A fun place to ride, not for speed freaks or weenies. But they have a porta-potty at the camp ground, and a big BBQ shed that can double for a garage! X-tra gas is only 5-6 miles away.

YEARS:45 - 55

OPEN:All Year

SPOT:Tahuya - Mission Creek

NEAREST TOWN:Belfair

DIRECTIONS:From Tacoma, take hiway 16 west across Narrows Bridge to Gorst (near Bremerton). Take hiway 3 south to Belfair. After getting snacks and gas in Belfair, take hiway 300 west past Belfair State Park, and turn right on Belfair-Tahuya Rd. Up the hill about 1 mile, is the first staging area. You can park here, but I recommend going a little further, and turning right onto Elfendahl Pass Rd. Go 1/2 mile and turn right into parking lot. This staging area is much easier to get back to. You'll see.

TERRAIN:Moderatly hilly, lots of whoops and jumps! A great place for M/Cs!

ORV's:3&4 Wheelers, M/Cs

ALL IN ALL:A good place to bring the kids. Most trails are easy (even the expert trails). This place is obviously set up for the beginner in mind. Has a fully equiped camp ground, but only know how to get there on a quad. (Yea, there is a road, just never drove it). A great place for all, especially the 2 wheeled speed freaks!

YEARS:10 - 20

OPEN:All Year

SPOT:Evan's Creek ORV Park

NEAREST TOWN:Carbonado

DIRECTIONS:This one can be a little tricky. From Tacoma, take hiway 512 east thru Puyallup. It turns into hiway 167. After about a mile of 167, take the 410 interchange towards Buckley. Hell, just drive to Buckley. Just befor you get there, turn right onto hiway 165 south. Stay on that past the last gas town of Carbonado. 165 turns into a little windy road along a deeeep gulch. Just after you go over the deep gulch look for a fork in the road. One goes straight and one goes up to the right. I think there's a sign. Take this road, it will turn into gravel real quick. Stay on this for about five miles and look for the signs. There's usually a lot of bikes and quads and Jeeps and stuff.

TERRAIN:Extremely hilly! Some fast spots, some real technical stuff, always be ready for rain or at least BIG puddles!

ORV's:3&4 Wheelers, M/Cs, Jeeps & 4WDs

ALL IN ALL:Not for beginners, good place to find out how small your butt can pucker! Trails are marked fairly good, and the expert markers don't lie... Great campground, with a lot of trail... many of which turn into small rivers even during a light rain. A great view of Mt. Rainier, come on up, there's an easy way!

YEARS:35 - 45

OPEN:Open all year!!

SPOT:Capitol Forest - Rock Candy Mountain

NEAREST TOWN:McCleary - Olympia

DIRECTIONS:Take I-5 south from Tacoma. In Olympia, take hiway 101 north about 5 miles. Then take hiway 8 west about 4 miles. Look for a left turn into Rock Candy Mountain parking lot. Park. Get out. Get on bike. Ride.

TERRAIN:Classic Power Lines... You know, you can take the dorky access road (switchbacks) or ride straight up the $*&?#@!!! Lotsa hills (some steep), puddles, jumps.. A fun all around spot!

ORV's:3&4 Wheelers, M/Cs, Some Jeeps & 4WDs

ALL IN ALL:Sure you can bring the kids here, but you'll find yourself looking for them a lot. Not because they keep riding off, but because you do! Many of these trails are great for flat out haulin' ass! Follow the powerlines 'till the R/F gives you a headache!

YEARS:30 - 40

OPEN:Spring, Summer, 1/2 Fall... Will Have exact dates soon...

SPOT:Thurston - Gray's Harbor ORV Park

NEAREST TOWN:McCleary - Olympia

DIRECTIONS:Take I-5 south from Tacoma. In Olympia, take hiway 101 north about 5 miles. Then take hiway 8 west about 9 - 10 miles. It's going to be a left hand turn, look for the sign.

TERRAIN:Don't know. Every time i've drug my trailer in there, they're holding some damn event and we can't ride there, so we go down to Rock Candy Mountain (see above).

ORV's:3&4 Wheelers, M/Cs

ALL IN ALL:If anyone knows if this place is worth riding, let me know!

YEARS:10, just for the frustration factor...

OPEN:All Year, I think...

SPOT:Blue Lake ORV Park

NEAREST TOWN:Randle

DIRECTIONS:Take hiway 7 south allll the way to Morton. Then go east on hiway 12 to Randle.Turn right on 131 south and look for FR 23, i think it's also called Cispus Rd. Follow FR 23 all the way to Blue Lake Creek Campground. It's about 12 miles. I've never been here yet, but I hear you just ride out of the campground

TERRAIN:Skinny little trails for quads which need help from the flood, but a lot of trail to ride when open. Lotsa hills!!!

ORV's:3&4 Wheelers, M/Cs

ALL IN ALL:Trails could be wider, motorcycles will have a blast! I'll wait for some serious trail maintenance before I head back there!

YEARS:20-30

OPEN:All Year, I think...

SPOT:Moses Lake ORV Park

NEAREST TOWN:Moses Lake

DIRECTIONS:Get east of the mountains, preferably via I-90. On the west side of Moses Lake, look for the 'Moses Lake ORV Park' sign. It's a no brainer.

TERRAIN:One word... Dunes

ORV's:3&4 Wheelers, M/Cs, Jeeps

ALL IN ALL:Don't forget your red flag!

YEARS:20 - 40... Depends on # of beers the night before...

OPEN:All Year

SPOT:Aerik's Secret Spot

NEAREST TOWN:Packwood

DIRECTIONS:I'm not gonna make it simple, E-mail for the 411.

TERRAIN:Hills, Hills, and a couple more Hills!!! Dirt, sand, shale, you name it. As long as you can make a hill out of it!

ORV's:3&4 Wheelers, M/Cs, Jeeps & 4WDs

ALL IN ALL:This is kinda my own place to ride, but it's such a cool place, i've got to share it. Just don't litter all over, and don't piss off the locals (I'm not one of them). There's miles of trails, if you know where to look! E-mail Aerik for a possible guided tour!

YEARS:30 - 35

OPEN:All Year, but during Elk & Deer season, the freakin imbred local yahoos think they own the place, so whach your P's & Q's. Unless your machine can outrun bullets...
