The purpose of this document is to outline the basic building instructions for a very high quality / high scale fidelity Battleship Class combat vessels, These ships will be refered to as X Class. It should be noted that this class of vessel is not authorized to participate in regular QO combat events. This is a MASTERS CLASS. This Class is not officially recognized or approved under the QO Rulebook. Build the most powerful ship you can and lets see who owns the pond. The basic QO safety, construction, detailing and operating standards apply. Exceptions to QO standards are as follows:

All guns may be functional. Gun barrel length showing must not exceed scale.

There is no limit on the amount of ammunition that can be carried.

Main an Sub deck may be no thicker than 5/8 inch.

Hull thickness up to 1/8 balsa with heavy silkspan, the hull must be penetratable up to one inch below the water line. Laminating balsa is not permitted.

Total Bilge pump capacities less than 1 Gallon per minute.

Torpedoes must not exceed the following dimensions: 1/4 to 3/8 dia and 4 to 5.5 length. Capacity must not exceed shipboard magazine.

Surrenders may not be offered nor accepted.
