Section 1 - St. Augustine Alligator Farm & Wildlife Rookery

The Alligator Farm, in St. Augustine, Florida,  not only has the largest Alligators in the World, but has a unique wildlife Rookery it maintains as well.  The Great Erets, Snowy Egrets, Tri-Colored Herons and other wading birds flock to this haven, from the wild, and are free to come and go as they please.   In May to June,  you can experience the mating, displaying and courtships, the bulding of nests, the nesting of pairs, the laying of eggs, and all behavior associated therewith, a wonderful experience for all visitors and  wildlife enthusiasts, and should not be missed. Always check with the St.Augustine Alligator Farm as to the status of the birds before planning a visit.
